Dr. Sexton is a long time Georgia resident. She was born and raised in Warner Robins, GA and is a 1996 honors graduate from the University of Georgia where she received a B.S. in Biology with a minor in Spanish language. She went on to receive her medical doctorate from Emory University after which she completed an internship in Internal Medicine at Emory University/Grady Hospital. She was then awarded an NIH sponsored National Research Service Award in the Department of Dermatology at Emory University. Following the research fellowship she went on to complete her Dermatology residency training at Emory. She is Board Certified in Dermatology and is a member of American Academy of Dermatology, American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, and National Medical Association. Her practice interests include Medical and Surgical dermatology, Pediatric Dermatology as well as Ethnic Skin. Dr. Sexton and her husband Alonzo have two young sons.
